Our Story

Hi, I'm Brad, aka "Spackie", and I've been on a barbecue journey for over 25 years. I love great barbecue but even more, I love is sharing it with family and friends.

What started as backyard experiments with spice blends and smokers became Spackie's Original BBQ — our family business born from a simple belief: great BBQ comes from patience, quality ingredients, and refusing to take shortcuts.

Every artisan rub is hand-crafted in small batches right here in the mountains of Utah. We source the finest spices, blend them ourselves, and smoke our signature salts in-house. No preservatives, no fillers, no mass production. 

My mantra has always been "Don't cheat your meat" — because low and slow, with high quality rubs and spices, is the way to go to ensure delicious, perfectly cooked foods.
